Day in the Mountains
Entirely voluntary. In case you're turning the wedding into a vacation, know that we'll be spending the day in the Pyrenees Mountains. They are a 2hrs drive from Bayonne. We park at Pont d'Espagne, and hike for 45min to Lac de Gaube. That will be our base camp for the day: swim, eat, more hikes. If you want to partake, plan to be at Pont d'Espagne parking lot at 11h.
Thursday 12/09/24
Day at the Beach
Also entirely voluntary. Thursday morning we'll head to the beach, Plage du Penon, to surf, play beach volleyball, and just hang out. From 10h to 14h.
Friday 13/09/24
Aperitif at family home
Now the wedding begins for real. Come over from 17h onwards for sunset drinks and dinner by the river, to meet everybody and slide into the wedding weekend. The charcuterie will be from Marta's region in Italy, Emilia-Romagna.
Saturday 14/09/24
Wedding ceremony at church
The ceremony starts at 16h. Please arrive 10-20min early. You can park at the top or bottom of the small hill. The ceremony is in Italian, and the songs will be in German, English, and Basque. So do brush up on your languages before the wedding :)

Dinner and dance!
We will walk all together, accompanied by a troop of musicians, from the church to the venue where we will spend the the rest of the evening. It's less than 1km through the countryside, so cars can be left at the church. Upon arrival at the venue, we will have a toast. Dinner starts at 20h.
